Inclusive Solar Eclipse at Chile

Description

We present material used at the Inclusive Solar Eclipse events last July, including the LightSound 2.0 device, designed and developed at Harvard University as a tool for the Blind and Visually Impaired (BVI) community, and funded by the IAU100 Special Projects.

This device was used in 11 different observation events across Chile, along with the tactile book “Abre tus sentidos a los eclipses: Sudamérica” developed by NASA and Edinboro University, and distributed by Giant Magellan Telescope.

These and other materials were presented by the Santa Lucia School for the BVI Astronomy Club students, as part of IDATA Chilean Node Project.
