IMPACT Dome: Indonesia Malaysia Project on Astronomy education using tactile images

Description

Miniature geodesic dome sky that allows visually impaired person to experience night with constellation based on tactile image. Collaboration project in astronomy education for inclusive children between Indonesia and Malaysia, which is still in progress.

It is a modular dome, build with numbers of triangle joint together. Some of the triangle has tactile images of constellation. The constellation can be change according to the month you want to experience. Tactile images of star in the constellation based on the magnitudes of the star. This project intend to show night sky within the equator.

Participants will stand under the dome and touch the tactile images.
