The NASE-Japan local organizing committee will host NASE: Network for Astronomy School Education, a teacher training course developed under a working group of the International Astronomical Union. The course started in 2009, which is also the International the Year of Astronomy, and has already more than 100 classes around the world. It is a global training program authenticated by ISO 29900 for learning services in non-formal education and training. NASE features a wide coverage of the Japanese curriculum from Elementary to Senior High School, it has a lot of astronomical observations and rich content of hands-on and minds-on activities. The astronomy teaching material development in Japan already has a high quality, and most of the contents of NASE overlap with what many Japanese teachers have developed. We would like to help the participants improve their teaching competencies and to confirm if their everyday practice is in line with the global trend. We would also like to help create an environment where Japanese astronomy educators contribute to the global astronomy education community. NASE emphasizes that astronomy has a long history and is a result of a collaborative effort by various cultures in the world. NASE-Japan 2019 will use two languages simultaneously, Japanese and English. The participants can attend all the classes in Japanese or in English. The participation fee is free of charge.
