Title: The inspiring experience of inclusive astronomy in Chile
Chileans carry astronomy in their hearts and, after the latest solar eclipse, in their ears as well. Thousands of people heard the eclipse through LightSound 2.0 devices thanks to an unprecedented collaboration between the IAU, UDP and 12 other scientific and government institutions, who worked together to provide this experience along the country. Inclusive Astronomy has become popular among young science communicators, and this has lead to several successful initiatives, as well to a more open discussion about the advantages of diversity in science. In this talk I will show the evolution of this phenomena in Chile over the course the past several years, and the positive effects this has had on the public, specially on the blind and visually impaired community.
