Title: UNAWE Korea : ‘Let’s go to the Universe TOGETHER!’
‘Let’s go to the Universe TOGETHER!’ is one of outreach program in Universe Awareness(UNAWE) Korea since 2018.
This program is the astronomy- and space-related activities. The high-school students can participate in this program and they are trained 3 times from SL Lab.
In the 4th activity, they invite the elementary school student which belong to the low-income or multi-cultural families, and so on and perform the talent donation as the teachers.
High-school students can choose the topic among 5 subjects which we suggested.
For instance, the moon and exploring moon, constellation, etc.
In 2019, this program is proceeding at Gangdong-gu, Songpa-gu, and Nowon-gu in Seoul with Nowan cosmos school.
About 40 students from 4 schools are participating this program.
The goal of this program is more friendly astronomy for all.
In general, the high-school students want not only to learn new knowledges, but also to deliver their understandings.
We hope and help that their passion and their talents can transfer to the children who need a donation.
Since 2017, SL Lab, INC joined to the UNAWE as a Korea coordinator.
We have been perfoming several outreach activities; the education program, the moving observatory, the translation of AstroEDU activities, etc.
SL Lab, INC always hope that Astronomy can be a basis of a dream of children.
