Title: What is “Inclusive Astronomy”?  A personal thought on “disabilities” and “study”

Language: mainly Japanese with English slides

What is “inclusive astronomy”?  This terminology may not be so familiar with but has a deep meaning. This means inclusive advancement of astronomy of, by, and for every type of people, regardless of differences in country/nation, race, gender, age, with/without disabilities etc.

The International Astronomical Union (IAU) issued “IAU strategic plan 2020-2030” with 5 strategic goals. The Goal 2 says “The IAU promotes the inclusive advancement of the field of astronomy in every country.”

In this talk, I will discuss connections between “disabilities” and “astronomy” and other fields of study based on the notion of “Nothing About Us Without Us”, base-line thought underlying Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities by the United Nation.
